Echo's Reply Kaleidoscope

Sue Rioux

The exterior is made from black iridescent stained glass that is assembled using stained glass techniques and copper foil and solder together. The interior features a nice two-mirror system with a nine-point symmetry mandala image, while the other is a three-mirror system that gives the image a quilted look. A great piece to add to your collection or better yet, a great gift for that special someone.

Artist Info
"In my mind I see a sunset, light off the water or sea smoke. I can see it finished and I make it."

Sue Rioux has been pursuing artistic endeavors from a very young age. She started as a water-colorist, literally selling her paintings at local art shows starting at age nine. This experience taught her the critical color theory she uses to this day. She moved on to creating stained glass art of all kinds for many years. But she found her true niche designing and creating award-winning glass kaleidoscopes. Her creativity seems to have no bounds, with exquisite oil-cell kaleidoscopes, as well as her signature stained-glass barrel styles, all copper soldered and decorated with special glass details. She works from her home studio, surrounded by the nature that inspires her.
