Jaffa Bridge Apple Watch Band with Brass

Watchcraft

The Jaffa Bridge is a unique Apple watch band inspired by the old railroad bridges behind WATCHCRAFT”s first studio at the entrance of the tunnels under the river to Manhattan. Made of brass instead of iron, the forked bands reflect the arches of the bridges, giving the bands a spare industrial feel. Handcrafted by skilled artisans, each band is individually distressed and oxidized, with stone, fire and acid, then trimmed with spirals in red copper. We pick the delicate spirals from the brass remnants of other watch bands, a continuous process of upcycling and recycling that is part of our commitment to sustainability. The contrast between the delicate spirals and the heft of solid brass invites a closer look, sparks a conversation.

Artist Info
"Time as art."

Watchcraft timepieces are constructed from naturally oxidized metals that even after being refined by Milieris’ careful artistic process are intentionally not sealed or coated to protect them from the environment. This artistic design choice of Milieris gives the fourth dimension of “time” a chance to continue the artistic process well after the timepiece has been purchased and worn. This subtle facet of Watchcraft timepieces is a form “legacy creativity.” It gives the artwork a life of its own, beyond creator and wearer. All Watchcraft timepieces are powered by a quality Citizen quartz movement and have a one year warranty from the date of purchase.
